Hello Friends !! I am Shivrajan Singh. I am going to share my experience about SQLite. You will learn here how to Install SQLite and how to use it as a database. SQLite is a database which uses file system for storing data. but wait you don’t have to use fwrite(),fopen() bla bla function for this, simply you can use sql statement for selecting, inserting, updating data and also you can do everything  you have done everything with the mysql. So without wasting time lets start :-

for Simplification, please follow these simple steps…

Step :1

1. Download phpLiteAdmin latest version  from here  or you can download it from this link

Question : – Why do you need this ?

Answer :- You have used phpMyAdmin, right?, this is the same thing for SQLite database. This is very similar to phpMyAdmin and you can use this for creating table and database.

of course you can use coding to create table and database but this tutorial explains SQLite in a very simple manner.
2. after downloading phpLiteAdmin extract it and put this in the directory  “db”. also put this directory in your root folder.. I assume that you can access this directory in “http://my-domain.com/db” .
3. Now, In the “db” directory you can see three file ..well ignore two of them and open “phpliteadmin.php” this file by visiting your url :- “http://my-domain.com/db/phpliteadmin.php” .
4. your default password is “admin”.  You should change your password by editing “phpliteadmin.php” and finding this line :$password = ‘admin’; on line 47 (I am using Notpad++).
5.after successfull Login create a database with the name “test”. you can change your name if you wish, I am using ‘test’ as my  database  name;
6. also create a table say “users” and create column name as “id”,name”, “password”, “email” .
if you successfully created a database and table inside it, then move to second step or if you face any problem please comment or contact me I will surely help you to complete step 1.

Step :2 Next step is to connecting to database and inserting, selecting and updating data to a database.

1. Connecting to database

create a file with name “config.php” and paste the following code. Also please save this file into you root directory. you can also put this file anywhere but to avoid any further confusion please use this way to learn beginning things first.
<?php
$con = new SQLite3('db/test');
?>
 here db is folder and test is your database name.
Now, if everything is gone correctly you have successfully connected to database.

2. Insert data to table

  create a file index.php in your root folder. and copy and paste the following code to your index.php file :-
<?php
include "config.php";
$sql = 'INSERT INTO users ("name","password","email") VALUES("a","b","c")';

$results = $con->query($sql);
if($results)
{
echo "Success";
}
else
{
echo "unsuccess";
}
?>

2. select data from the database

<?php
include "config.php";
$sql = "select * from users";
$results = $con->query($sql);
while ($row = $results->fetchArray()) {
echo "Your Name is ".$row['name'] ." and your Email is :- ". $row['email'];
}
?>

3.  Update data from table

<?php
include "config.php";
$sql = "update users set name = 'Fabulous Post' where id = 1";
$results = $con->query($sql);
if($results)
{
echo "Success";
}
else
{
echo "unsuccess";
}
?>

In the above code you can see that you can use sql statement to query the database easily without having the mysql database. The above code is tasted and working fine for me. Please let me know if you faced ny problem.
